The Republican Liberty Caucus of Florida will hold its 2009 state business meeting and convention in Jacksonville on March 27-29 at the Embassy Suites Hotel (Baymeadows) in Jacksonville, Fla. The convention is being hosted by North East Florida RLCers Will Pitts, Sarah Lovett and others.
The agenda is currently being finalized, but expected guests include 2006-2008 House Speaker Marco Rubio, who is a potential contender for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Sen. Mel Martinez, and Bill Westmiller, chairman of the national RLC. There will also be region updates from around the state and a roundtable discussion on the future of the Florida RLC.
There will also be elections held for the chair and other state board positions. Be sure to be part of this important decision about the future of the RLCFL.
Plus, the by-laws committee, led by Woody Engle, has carefully revised our current state by-laws with the intent of providing the standard by-laws template for use in every state. Appproved by the board, these new by-laws changes will be approved by the delegates on the convention floor.
Perhaps more importantly, the convention will provide an opportunity for fun and fellowship with other libertarian Republican activists across the state.
To register, see the RLCFL website at www.rlcfl.org or

To reserve a room, contact the Embassy Suites at 1-[masked]. Be sure to mention the RLC for the special $99 convention rate.
See you in Jax!
